MISION
My artistic name is Franko, in my art; I like to represent the powerful look of color plus a combination of realism images, to instantly provide emotional positive changes to viewers. I try to achieve this using different mediums, acrylic paint and aerosol.
About The Artist:
I came to be and artist since an early age, 4years old. I even have my first art painting of the ninja turtles.
I was born in Los Angeles and at the age of four I migrate to Mexico border city Mexicali, where I grew up. At the age of 13 I came back to the United States where I finally stay. Growing up in this environment between two countries, two cultures got me involved in art. My Mexican heritage, the colorful traditions as ¨El Dia de los Muertos´´ the history of the Mayans and Aztecs got me amazed, plus the chicano movement of the 80´s and 90´s and last but not least my catholic background which involved many religious images and saints that really have an impact in me every time I went to church and watch this amazing colorful vitrals and statues.
I started on my art venture just going simple, drawing with a pencil and a white sheet of paper, later on as a juvenile I got involved in graffiti art at the same time I also started painting on canvases with acrylic and oil paint, but what I loved the most is painting on the outside on walls, doing murals, I noticed that If I go this way I can really transmit a positive message to the community and at the same time enhance public areas.
The long-term aspirations that I have for me and my work is to be recognized as a great artist, one artist that provide emotional positive changes to the community with his murals an artist that bring happiness, color and inspiration for younger generations to come.
